Description: Fashion Mingle is a global network for fashion industry professionals. With over 7000 members, Fashion Mingle connects fashion pros to the resources and services they need all over the world. Our network of 200+ local fashion directories connects members in their own cities but allows them to easily find resources in other cities they need to work in. Members can search and discover the skilled professionals they need in over 100+ categories. The team believes it has identified an opportunity for which it wishes to scope and conduct detailed market feasibility tests. This will help to refine the business model and provide a basis for market diligence in support of an investor-facing business pitch. The application is intended to leverage opportunities afforded by Fashion Mingle. The business proposition is confidential and successful candidates will be asked to agree to a non-disclosure agreement. Role and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Identify, research, and report on the market for Gig economy workers in creative industries. Desk research on markets, pricing, and competition. Definition of a total addressable market and identification of potential early adopter segments. Generate testable, market-facing hypotheses. Work with founders in developing base propositions in line with market discovery. Identify early adopters and conduct person-to-person interviews with potential customers and users (on and offline). Conduct online, face-to-face interviews with project stakeholders Help develop marketing collateral and business development approaches. Other related business intelligence activity as may reasonably be requested e.g. shortlisting likely investors, investor events; drafting investment plans, etc. Requirements: We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and highly self-motivated person, capable of thinking entrepreneurially, whilst interested in practically helping a business scale in different markets. Ideal for someone who: Is pursuing or near completion of a master’s degree in business, marketing, or PR-related fields. Is able to work flexibly and remotely. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate, either through experience or academic work: Methodical approaches to scoping, in-depth researching, analyzing, feasibility testing, and presenting the information. The ability to interact and communicate, personably, with project stakeholders, especially users/customers. Good numeracy with sound analytical capability. Excellent written and spoken English. Strong (written) presentation ability. Google Docs skills including a high level of competence in PowerPoint. A combination of the following interests or experience would also be an advantage (and the role could also suit someone looking to further develop in these areas): Experience in marketing research or similar business intelligence projects.
